McDonald's Cheeseburger Deluxe

McDonald's beefed up (no pun intended) its line up of burgers a few months ago. One of the new burgers in their line up is the McDonald's Cheeseburger Deluxe. What is so different about this particular burger to the others?

Well, let's define "Deluxe" first.

Dictionary.com defines "Deluxe" as "of special elegance, sumptuousness, or fineness; high or highest in quality." Now, putting a word synonymous to "highest quality" can be quite a feat. That puts a lot of expectations. In this case, it's a cheeseburger. Does it live up to the "expectations"?

The McDonald's Cheeseburger Deluxe has the usual ensemble: the burger patty, the cheese and garnishing such as pickles. What is so special about it is the coleslaw and a special white sauce which I can't put my finger on it. I guess it's a secret.

When you taste the McDonald's Cheeseburger Deluxe for the first time, you will taste the difference. It just goes well with your taste buds. You know that this burger is special.

But is the McDonald's Cheeseburger Deluxe big in size (since it is a deluxe)? Unfortunately, no. It is not as big as you want it to be. In fact, I personally think that burgers are getting smaller.

You can get the McDonald's Cheeseburger Deluxe solo or in a meal (with french fries and a soft drink of choice). The price is almost Php 100.

Is it worth it? Compared to an ordinary cheeseburger, it is. But it can still be improved. I suggest putting more ingredients inside such as tomatoes and onions. If you are going to call something as "Deluxe" which means "of high quality", then the product should back it up unless the Big Mac is getting insecure.

Go to your nearest McDonald's branch and try out the McDonald's Cheeseburger Deluxe.

Let me know what you think about it.
